Dear Ekinler Industrial Family,

Today, on October 18, 2023, we proudly celebrate the 40th anniversary of the establishment of Ekinler Industry A.Ş., founded through the initiatives of Tuncay Ekin and the support of Nermin Ekin back on October 18, 1983.

Looking briefly at the history of Ekinler Industry, in 1983, at the age of 35, Tuncay Ekin, a young mechanical engineer from ITU, embarked on an exciting venture in Topkapı, with the foresight of the market and the courage to take commercial risks. With the financial and moral support from his wife, Behiye Nermin Ekin, and repaying a loan of 4000 TL borrowed from his father, he started a journey with just one skilled worker and a press, producing terminals and making sales to Philips. His main goal was to produce connectors imported from abroad for the Philips Cathode Ray Tube TV factory where he had previously worked. The journey continued in 1984-1985 with an office in Esenler and a production area in the basement. He invested in plastic injection machines, started producing connectors, and invited his brother, Atay Ekin, who left his teaching profession, to become a shareholder in the company. They managed customer visits, invoices, accounting, and engineering activities almost single-handedly. As time passed, the team grew slowly. They started working with Beko's Cathode Ray Tube television factory in Avcılar. Around 1994-1995, co-founder Nermin Ekin, who had worked for 20 years at Turkish Airlines, retired and joined Ekinler Connector. In 1995-1996, they moved to a new production and office area in İkitelli Organized Industrial Zone, leaving a cooperative they had previously entered. As the tube television market declined and LED televisions entered the market in the late 1990s and early 2000s, Ekinler Connector renewed itself by entering the white goods market. The company's name changed to Ekinler Electronics Ltd. Şti. and they experienced growth in the white goods sector with a structure that included mold making, pressing, injection, and assembly processes at their facility in İkitelli/Istanbul. In 2001, they established their first branch in Manisa Kenan Evren Industrial Zone, responding to the needs of Vestel Electronics. In 2005, they moved to their new facility in Manisa OSB. Between 2004-2011, they established a production structure for cable bundling in Russia. The Russian operation closed in 2011 due to market conditions. As industries evolved and expanded, Ekinler Electronics Ltd. Şti. transformed itself once again and in 2013, it became Ekinler Industry, starting operations in the automotive combi sector alongside white goods. Since 2013, the company has been striving to expand and develop in its sectors. On September 17, 2021, our founder Tuncay Ekin passed away at the age of 73. He worked tirelessly for nearly 35 years to benefit all the contributors of Ekinler, to benefit his nation and humanity. His most cherished vision was the development and growth of Ekinler. We remember him with deep respect.

What he started as a dream is now celebrating its 40th year. As of 2023, we are setting our sights further ahead. We continue our efforts in sensor technologies, high-current-carrying connectors, and intermediate components in the automotive, white goods, solar energy, aviation, and battery sectors. In 2023, under the slogan of development and change, we have initiated the Vision, Mission, and Strategy studies within the framework of institutionalization. We are striving to create the roadmap for the next 10 years. By 2024, one of our goals is to establish a Design Center. Our fundamental perspective as the Ekinler Community will be to follow the future and innovation, aiming for value-added areas. Our primary goals will be to create and produce value for the Ekinler Industry Family and our country through hard work.

Our aspiration is to transform the Ekinler Community into an international school passed down from generation to generation, for the children of our employees.

Before concluding, I would like to share our Mission statement once again, framed within the fundamental values of our founder: To design the future and facilitate life by cherishing values and showing respect.

I extend my infinite gratitude to all my colleagues who have contributed and worked tirelessly to bring the Ekinler Industry Family to where it stands today and to the shareholders who have joined us over the years.

Thank you, Ekinler Family, for being a part of our lives. Happy 40th Anniversary. Here's to many more years of success.

Best regards,

Alican EKIN General Manager (Company Partner)
